Removing DFR footprint?

Hi,

In an ideal world I'd like to remove all site-side code references to "datafeedr" in order to neutralise the possibility of a "footprint penalty" for datafeedr sites across the board, but it appears that there are 8 css classes that I don't appear to be able to rename named datafeedr-1 thru datafeedr-8.

Is there any way to rename these from the client side?

Hi Eric, I'm referring to the fact that the datafeedr widgets use <div id="datafeedr-X> in the on site code, and ideally I'd like to remove references to "datafeedr" from my page code if possible.

Eg, if you view page source on a DFR page of one of my sites the datafeedr div id appears in the code.

Those are generated by WordPress. I'm not sure how they get that name... if it's from the plugin directory name or the name specified in the datafeedr.php file or from the name of the datafeedr.php file itself. I guess you could start with renaming the "datafeedr" folder but I'm not sure if that will work.

Has anyone found a way to safely alter this footprint yet?

I've tried renaming the datafeedr plugin folder without success.

I'd really like to be able to remove references to datafeedr in the viewable source code.

The word datafeedr is appearing in the id of the datafeedr widgets:

i.e. in the category widget...

<li id="datafeedr-12" class="widget store_widget"><h3>View Another Brand</h3><div id="wdgt_cl"><ul><li>....

and the tag cloud widget...

<li id="datafeedr-6" class="widget store_widget"><h3>Tag Cloud</h3><div id="widget_tag_cloud"><a href="/tags/ladies/" title="96 products" style="font-size:85%">ladies</a>...

and the search widget...

<li id="datafeedr-10" class="widget store_widget"><h3>Search All....

I'm not sure about how to do that as WP is adding those, not the Datafeedr plugin. I think it would require hacking WP core.
