Password protect a Datafeedr custom view

Hello,

I have created a custom page view and added the shortcode for that page to a wordpress page that is password protected.

However, when I go to the url, it directs to the Datafeedr url not the wordpress page so no password is requested to access the page.

How would I be able to add a password to the page or restrict access?

Hi

I just tested password protected pages with DFR shortcodes and it works fine. It does not redirect to the DFR page. Are you sure you have your page set up correctly?

So I'm not sure where I'm going wrong. For example, this is what I did:

1. Created a custom view in Datafeedr called Example
2. Added a page called "Example" to Wordpress with permalink /example
3. Password protected the wordpress page
4. Put the shortcode [DFR: Example] in the wordpress page

But it doesn't ask for the password to access that url.

I noticed that if I changed the permalink in wordpress for the page it works but the Datafeedr url is still accessible which kind of defeats the whole purpose.

Any thoughts of what I may be doing wrong?

This is the issue. You can't have /example in WP and /example in your store. You should probably give the Custom View a unique and hard to guess name like X6m7es89B33e. There is no way to password protect the custom view. You can only obfuscate its location.
