![]() Hi,
We have a merchant that we would like to remove from the general interface of our sites (as they have changed their terms and are now paying 60%+ less $$) but we would like to leave their product pages on the site as the individual pages rank well for some longtails. For example, ideally if someone visited the URL directly they would still get the product, but they wouldn't see it in any category views or searches. Is this possible? I've tried making the merchant category "hidden" which hides the category but not the product pages from searches etc. Thanks Ty |

![]() Hi
I can't think of any way that this would be possible... Eric

![]() Hi Eric,
I did actually manage to get it working, or at least it appears to be working. Provided the products and merchant in question do not appear in ANY category other than the hidden one (which I did using the merchant exclusion filter on every other category on the site so the merchant is in the sites merchant list but not in any categories bar the hidden one), and the hidden category is not top level then it appears to work in the way I was looking for - ie the pages appear on their direct URL but not in site search or other categories. If you'd like me to expand on it so you can check it out drop me an email ![]() Regards Ty |
