Won't save Connection Key

I must be doing something very obvious and wrong but for some reason the Connection Key will not save in my store.

When I enter the key it says its been entered successfully but refreshes the page and does not save. The error messages on the page ""Quick Update" cannot be run for the following reasons: Connection Key: No connection key entered. Please enter your store's connection key" remain.

I've checked and all the permissions on the directories are correct too.

Any ideas would be great. PHP version? WPress version?
