Default URGENT: My Comparison Sets are not displaying well

Hello,

I have just noticed that my comparison sets are not displaying in some of my articles. Also when I go to my DataFeedr - The Factory site. I see that those comparison sets are weird showing up the product ID but not the name. Also, I have noticed that those products are missing.

See image below:

What's going on?

Thank you

That's because the master products in those compsets are no longer available in Datafeedr.

When the compset shortcode on your site is referring to a non-existing product ID the compset disappears on your site.

I know it's not ideal but we will look asap for a better solution.

The only workaround for now is to set a new product in the compset as master and replace the product ID in the shortcode with the new master product ID.

Hello Stefan,

Why are they not available? Is it that Datafeedr that does not offer them, or are they not available on the merchant page? Is there any way to get noticed with this happens?

Thanks

Most of the time that is because the master product is no longer available in the merchant's datafeed (and therefore no longer in our database) or because the merchant is no longer available.

We will look further into the problem and see whether it's possible to keep compsets from disappearing from sites when the master product is no longer available.

Currently there's no way to get notified.

Hello Stefan,

Ok. I will take note on that. But one of the products is Product 25202071540543 wich was before this:

http://www.wiggle.com/knog-blinder-r...t-2-led-light/

As you can see, is still available on Wiggle. Why is that happening then?

Thank you

The product may still be available on the merchant's site but what counts for us is that the product is available in the datafeed.

I just downloaded the latest datafeed from Wiggle and the product in question (Knog Blinder Road3 Front 2 LED Light) is no longer available in the datafeed.

That's why the product is no longer available in our database.

A new DFR tag is now available in order to prevent your compsets from disappearing once the master product is no longer available in our database.

Instead of referring to the product ID of the master product you can now directly refer to the compset ID which you find in the Factory.

The new shortcode: [DFR:compset?compset_id=xxxxx]

compset: the name of the view.

xxxxx: the compset ID.

When you use this shortcode and a master product is no longer available, the plugin will make the first of compset products a master.

Of course if a compset only contains one single product and that one product is no longer available the compset will disappear as well.

Hi Stefan,

Sorry for my lateness to reply, but that sounds perfect. It will make my life a lot easier. I will update all my compsets to that.

Thank you very much

Borja
