Default Images not being stored locally

Store ID: 43923
Website URL: http://greatweddingjewelry.com
URL to page in question: http://greatweddingjewelry.com/wp-co...0217638833.jpg

Hey,

after following your post to store images locally (http://www.datafeedr.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5770) they are not being displayed anymore and I receive 404 errors.

Very few images are displayed and they point to the local directory in my wp-content/uploads/store folder. For example http://greatweddingjewelry.com/wp-co...1979063134.jpg. But when I check the actual directory, its empty.

The majority of images are not displayed at all.

What i tried so far:

- Update Products and Settings
- Reload the site
- check write access for php user in both directories products/images and products/thumbnails
- download the images from the merchant feed manually so see if the links are broken (all links work fine)
- Remove the local directory /wp-content/uploads/store and set it up again via the plugin option under "Directories"

Please advise.

Hi,

The issue is the Nginx webserver. In order for this feature to work, the web server must be configured in a way that it redirects all requests to non-existing URLs to "index.php", including URLs that end with jpg or png.

Can you ask your webhost to configure Nginx to redirect all non-existing URLs to the index.php file?

Thanks for your quick reply.

Is is a specific index.php in /wp-content/uploads/store/products/images or the index.php in the webroot?

Hi,

To be honest, I don't know. I've not worked with Nginx before. But you have to change the way Nginx deals with 404s.

Just so you know, it's not required to store images locally.
