Exclamation Merchant links shows Euros instead of Dollars...Huge Problem

Store ID: 1649zsa7e341l8jb

For the Dr. Jays merchant my affiliate links are showing up as Euros when I get to the product page for all of the many links I have checked. I cleared my cache and my cookies and went directly to the site and it shows up properly and then checked a few affiliate links again and it still shows up as Euros instead of Dollars. Please help!

Also, there are an excessive number of duplicate items that show as no longer available and as far as I can see they are exact duplicates (no sizing difference or price) of the other items. This is occurring for both Dr. Jays and DJPremium.

Please advise.

Hi

The reason you are being directed to a UK site is because of the link Dr Jays is using in their data feed. For example, here's one link (with your affiliate ID removed):

Quote:
http://gan.doubleclick.net/gan_click?lid=41000000012103313&pid=1307301-UK&adurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.drjays.com%2Fshop%2FP13073 01%2Flevis%2Flevis-ankle-skinny-jean.html%3Fcurrency%3Dgbp&usg=AFHzDLvV5r3YUbNS8-PcRoySMAlgsBTLZQ&pubid=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
You can see in the URL that the merchant is using after pid= there is a product ID followed by -UK. This is indicating the products in their feed should launch their UK site. I would contact this merchant and ask them why their product links are leading to UK pages instead of US pages.

Regarding the duplicate products, while I can see that the products do look identical and their descriptions say that they have the same size, if you take a look at the URL provided by the merchant, you can see that they are different.

For example, these 2 products in your store:

They look identical but here are their URLs (minus your affiliate ID):

Product 1:
Quote:
http://gan.doubleclick.net/gan_click?lid=41000000012103313&pid=1307300-UK&adurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.drjays.com%2Fshop%2FP130 7300%2Flevis%2Flevis-ankle-skinny-jean.html%3Fcurrency%3Dgbp&usg=AFHzDLugnH0bNJRZrDV M-uVE3BxcYLVDXw&pubid=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Product 2:
Quote:
http://gan.doubleclick.net/gan_click?lid=41000000012103313&pid=1307301-UK&adurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.drjays.com%2Fshop%2FP130 7301%2Flevis%2Flevis-ankle-skinny-jean.html%3Fcurrency%3Dgbp&usg=AFHzDLvV5r3YUbNS8-PcRoySMAlgsBTLZQ&pubid=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
These are the URLs provided by the merchant via Google Affiliate Network. You can see that the value after usg= differ. One is AFHzDLugnH0bNJRZrDVM-uVE3BxcYLVDXw while the other is AFHzDLvV5r3YUbNS8-PcRoySMAlgsBTLZQ. Additionally these lead to 2 different pages:

http://www.drjays.com/shop/P1307300/...0%28k567062%29

versus...

http://www.drjays.com/shop/P1307301/...0%28k567062%29

While they look the same at first, look at the "Size" drop down menu. One says "1" while the other says "9". So they are the same product just a different size of the same product.

Thank you for the prompt response. I thought this might be a merchant issue but wasn't sure. Thanks a bunch!

Dr. Jays has updated their data feed in GAN and I have verified that the links no longer have the UK tagging. However, your feed at datafeedr.com is still showing them as before. Have you all updated their data feed files recently?
This issue has been haunting me for over a month now.

I see what the problem is. I downloaded the raw feed from GAN for Dr. Jays and they have both US and UK products on their feed. The products with numerical product ID's are the ones that lead to the US site and the ones with "(productID)-UK" lead to the UK site and because it installs a cookie, once you hit the UK site you will always hit the UK site.
Datafeedr seems to use the entire data feed and does not discern between US and UK products though Dr. Jays uses an entirely different provider for their UK affiliate sales.
This makes it difficult to quickly and easily add products to my store because I will have to go through the details of each product to ensure that the link is not pointing to the UK site before I can add to my store. Please help.

Hi

There's no much we can do on our end when the products are mixed together. I would contact the merchant and request that they split their feeds into different country feeds. I'm sure you're not the only affiliate having this same issue.

Yeah, I have since found a work around since I know for sure what the problem is.
Thanks for looking into it though! The support is very appreciated!
