Default prevent google from indexing some sites

Hi guys,

for my wordpress site i use this code to prevent google from indexing the following sites for the front page and the category pages. This code makes, that only the first page of the home page and the categories will be indexed. The following pages becomes a noindex, follow in the robot meta tag. Is it possible to do the same for the store front page and the category page?

HTML Code:
<?php if(is_home() && ($paged) || is_single()&& ($paged) || is_page()&& ($paged) || is_category()&& ($paged)){
echo '<meta name="robots" content="noindex,follow" />';
}?>
thanks Klaus from Berlin

There are no conditional tags like that for various pages in Datafeedr.

But, you can add custom <meta> tags to each page type in your views. So, on your Store's front page ( The Factory > Your Store > VIEWS > STORE FRONT PAGE > View menu > View <head> elements), you could add your own meta tags there. Do this for each page type and you should get the same effect.

Hi Eric,

thanks for your reply. I know about the meta tag option in the view menu. I use this for example to prevent google from indexing the tags pages.

My problem is that i want, that google index the first page of each category. But each category has many pages (...store/category/example/ ; ...store/category/example/2/ ;...store/category/example/3/ and so on. I want to prevent the page 2,3,4,.....

i am sorry i can't better explain this in english. Hope you understood.

Sure, you can add the following code to the head area of your category page here: The Factory > Your Store > VIEWS > CATEGORY PAGE > Default > View menu > View <head> Elements

Code:
[store.if page="on"]
<meta name="robots" content="noindex,follow" />'
[/store.if]

Will this same code work for pagination issues on the homepage?
