![]() Building a gadgets store based on Chinavasion products. However, when I choose them as our approved merchant in Shareasale, only 1 product shows for selection.
Thought that was strange so I checked the merchant through ClixGalore network in Datafeedr & they have a full range of products. Any ideas why? Please check Shareasale's Chinavasion datafeed & rectify if possible — as we prefer to use their merchants. In the meantime, I guess I'll have to apply to ClixG for affiliate approval so I can continue setting up our new store. |

![]() This feed is incorrectly formatted, it uses line breaks in the "description" field.
Since Shareasale feeds are line-oriented, it's not possible to process this feed reliably, so our parser decided to ignore it. We'll remove the merchant entirely from Datafeedr with the next Shareasale update. |

![]() Stefan, that prompts the question: Out of 681 Shareasale merchants available in the Datafeedr Factory, how many besides Chinavasion have incorrectly formatted datafeeds?
![]() We've sold Chinavasion products on 3 websites for 2 years. Using Shareasale’s affiliate datafeed—through GoldenCAN.com integration. Now we’re endeavouring to ramp up those sales using the extensive capabilities of Datafeedr instead. ![]() Surely there's another way than just removing this merchant's product feed? (Because I already have a whole new problem for you if I have to use ClixGalore's Chinavasion instead.) |

![]() Thanks, Stefan, I really appreciate your consideration & assistance with this.
Chinavasion's product database process is comprehensive, to say the least. The API & Datafeed resource links on their website may assist you with a solution: CSV & XML FORMATTED DATA FILES https://www.chinavasion.com/data-feed Chinavasion Data Feeds, RSS, API & Product Status Log https://www.chinavasion.com/feeds Chinavasion API Overview https://secure.chinavasion.com/myacc...y_api_keys.php Register For API Access & Key https://secure.chinavasion.com/login/register.php Chinavasion API FAQ https://support.chinavasion.com/inde...vasion-api-faq Seriously, the XML & CSV versions of the product data (from Chinavasion itself) look a whole lot more workable & standardised to me than data files I've accessed from numerous other merchants — direct from their websites or through their affiliate network. But then, you guys are the database/code gurus, not me! ![]() See how you go, ta. PS Happy New Year! |

![]() Stefan, you're wonderful.
I took a break from Datafeedr for a coupla days & just now read your update. Whatever you've done, it works nicely so I can go back to using Shareasale's merchant feed now! Many thanks for that. ![]() |
