Default Displaying single products in list

HI I want to display single products in category lists, (side bar).

When I click on it now it will show duplicates. Can I just show one product per set? Presumably this will be a master in the comparison set

Thanks

Hi

1. Can you please provide more information such as a link to the page in question. It's impossible to help without knowing exactly what page you are referring to...

2. Also, I don't fully understand your question. What do you mean by "display single products in category lists"?

Hi Eric,
OK if you go to http://best-toy-prices.co.uk/. And on the right hand side bar, click on "Ben 10" (under boys toys).

This takes you to a page with al the ben 10 toys.

However many of them are duplicate. For example there is 3 -4 Ben 10 "Alien Creation Lab" listings.

But I only want to show just one listing per product, as users may be put off seeing all the same products on one page.

Hope that clears it up

Dave

Hi

Thanks for clarifying the problem.

There's not much you can do here because they are not duplicates. They are unique, individual products from different merchants with different prices, descriptions and names.

But there is a work around that I set up for you. Here's what I did:

1. I created a new Custom View named Master Product Category View
2. I copied the template code from your Product list module from your Category Page view into a new Product List module in the Master Product Category View.
3. I deleted the Product List module from the Category Page.
4. I added a new Text module to your Category Page view.
5. I added the following code to the Text module:
HTML Code:
[DFR:Master Product Category View?c=%ci&compset_status=2]
So, basically what this does is show only products that are master products within a category. Now, on my test site, the only products that appear on the Ben 10 category page are master compset products. Just update your site's settings and you should be good to go.

Eric
