Default Converting from pulling images from merchant's site to storing locally.

Eric,
I am now trying to do the opposite of above.
I had the images set to be pulled from the merchant.
I want to try the websites though with the images stored locally, but I can't seem to undo the settings.

I have changed the URL Settings for the website in the factory to:
/wp-content/uploads/store/products/images/%pi.%pe
/wp-content/uploads/store/products/thumnails/%pi.%pe

And also changed the directories (and created them), from the Wordpress side to:

/home/budgetsc/public_html/mywebsite.com/wp-content/uploads/store/products/thumbnails

And also tried:
/wp-content/uploads/store/products/thumbnails

And then updated products and settings, but nothing is changing.

How do I force the website to now store the images locally?

You need to make sure you have the directories set up and also configured correctly on your Directories page.

Also, we've added 2 new placeholders to the URL settings: %lt and %li which return the path to the locally stored thumbnails and images respectively. Just use those 2 placeholders in your URL Settings.

Please see the other thread. Sorry I thought you would want this as a new topic.

I have also tried the %lt and %li and it is not working.

Sorry, just realised you deleted the other thread.

So I have gone onto the ftp site and checked that the directories exist and they do.
I have checked their permissions and all are set to 777.
I have changed the URL Settings in the factory to %li and %lt.

I don't know what else to check.
I am about to reset the store and try it from scratch!

Have you also tried running a full update: [Update Products and Settings]?

Numerous times.
I also just deleted the folders created, and deleted the directories paths in Wordpress and redid them. Double checked they were created and had permissions via the FTP. Then did another product and settings update.
Still nothing.

What do the image tags need to be on the Views in the factory? Does this affect anything?

I have them set at the moment to: [product.image direct='1' tag='1']

This is the problem. direct must be set to '0'.

I see that you sent your log in details but I believe the issue lies in your tag settings.

Okay, remind me... where are the tag settings and what should I be changing them from and to?

BTW: here is the store link if you need it: http://factory3.datafeedr.com/feeder/view?view=19753

[product.image direct='0' tag='0'] - Returns a cloaked image URL without <img> tag.
[product.image direct='0' tag='1'] - Returns a cloaked image URL with <img> tag.
[product.image direct='1' tag='0'] - Returns a uncloaked image URL without <img> tag.
[product.image direct='1' tag='1']- Returns a uncloaked image URL with <img> tag.

If you want to display the locally hosted images, you need to use a cloaked version of the tag.

Okay, figured out what you meant.
I tried all the tags and finally this one worked: [product.thumbnail direct='0' tag='1']

Ok! Lots of new tricks to learn with this new factory.
Now I shall be off to change all my image tags and see if I can get this website out of position 278 and back to position 1 where it was, prior to upgrading to V3!
