Default Embedded Product View

Store: 37024
Web Site: http://www.holisticnz.com/

Hey team

I wonder if you could look at the code I have used for the custom view - embedded product.

I am attempting to make it align left so when it shows up on the site the text wraps around the view.

Currently on site to make that happen I have had to put the dfr code inside a table. Right effect, but should be able to do this inside the factory via html code and I guess what I have is wrong.

I have left an embedded view half way down the page for you to see what the code currently does straight out the factory.

Hey Eric

That is not playing out on my sites, I had to use an additional table to make it align left.

See half way down this page - the top and bottom images are in additional tables created in the post. The image in the middle has no additional table, so I am trying to figure out why?

Are you using the same embed code for all 3 products?

It's because your second table is wrapped in a <p> which WordPress automatically inserts when there are line breaks in your Posts. Remove the breaks.

Hi

I see the problem... It's actually WP closing the previous paragraph and creating a new one anywhere it sees a <div> tag, even if the div is set to be inline and even if it's wrapped by a <span> tag (very annoying).

For example, this code:
HTML Code:
<div style="display:inline;float:left;"><b>something</b></div>
Should just display inline like a span tag but WP doesn't treat <div>'s that way and creates a new paragraph:

I tried removing all <div>s from your View but that also didn't help. As soon as WP saw the shortcode, it inserted a new <div>. I tried something as simple as this in your view:
HTML Code:
<a title="[product.name]"href="[product.url]">[product.name]</a>
But no luck. When WP sees a shortcode, it ends the paragraph and inserts the <div> into the paragraph just before the output of the shortcode.

Maybe there is a plugin that addresses this issue.

Hey Eric

I am not sure I understand here. In store 35251, the drip view works perfectly - yes this view does not have any <div> tags in it but WP on the web site has no issues with the code itself and does what the code is supposed to do, align it left.

The only thing I can see different is the div codes itself between the two views.

That is because the drip <div> begins at the top of the post and then content wrapping around it is within the <div>, not above or below it. So there's no reason that won't work.

Example:

<div> in Post:

content content content content content content content content content content content content content content <div><img />embedded content</div> content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content

<div> in dripped post:

<div><img />content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content </div>
