Default Question about URLs

Hi!

I have my store set up on my subdomain, which is shop.healthywithlindy.com and of course when I get into the store the url is shop.healthywithlindy.com/store. That seems awkward and redundant to me.

I've reviewed your video tutorials and I'm still uncertain about how to remove the word 'store' from my URLs on all site pages. Is that even possible?

Would you be so kind as to let me know how to remove the /store from my URL and not have the store as my home page?

Thanks guys!
Dawn

Store ID: Lindy's Healthy Stuff Store
Website URL: shop.healthywithlindy.com
URL to page in question: shop.healthywithlindy.com/store (and all other store pages)

Hi Dawn,

This is not exactly possible. If you remove the word "store" from all of your "store" URLs, you run a serious risk of your store URLs conflicting with your core WordPress URLs (blog posts and pages).

I would suggest finding an alternative word to "store" so your URLs don't conflict with each other.

That would work too. So, once I decide on a replacement word for 'store', would I simple swap out the word store for the new one in all of the url setting locations?

Any ideas or suggestions for a way cool replacement word? shop.healthywithlindy.com/??

Hi,

Yes, that's correct. You could try "products" or even something short like "s".

http://shop.healthywithlindy.com/sto...4400078642015/

could be ...

http://shop.healthywithlindy.com/for...4400078642015/

*just a thought*
