Arrow Importing setting for another v3 site.

Another feature that would be a huge help would be the ability to export one site's v3 settings and then import it into another (existing) v3 site.

All of my v1 sites have been imported into v3, but they all have the default settings, which leaves me with 2 options - either I have to go through the v3 setup and code for each one from scratch, or I have to set up one "template" v3 store and then duplicate it and recreate each of my v1 sites into it, neither of which is ideal from a workflow and efficiency perspective.

If I could import the settings from an existing "template" v3 setup then at least all I would have to do then is tweak each one, rather than rebuild every single v1 store again from scratch.

I think that this would greatly help anyone who has a lot of legacy stores that now need to be converted to v3.

Thanks

I just wanted to ask if there was any chance of this feature being introduced in the near future?

Many thanks

This is scheduled to be released in Version 3.2, which is the next major release. No ETA at this time as we just released 3.1.

Is there any news on this feature?

I'm assuming that it wasn't included in 3.2 in the end - or am I missing something?

We looked further into it. This feature however required so much changes that we cancelled the implementation.

As it's possible to copy an existing V3 store with all its settings and start tweaking from that copy we give higher priority to other more requested features and new network integrations.

The flaw of any business in its infancy is to think it's all about what THEY, the business owners/creators, want to give to the market; their brilliant idea.

Sorry to disappoint, but it's actually the other side of the equation: Over time, we all learn that it's really about what the CUSTOMERS want/need that we business owners/creators can provide through our unique approach to making & systematising the product base & service delivery options!

And the sooner we business owners come to terms with that real-world fact of commerce the sooner we can make gob-loads more profit than otherwise. Affiliate marketers & Datafeedr directors included.

You folks have essentially hit the nail on the head; it's just that Stefan is, understandably, too deep in the code side of the business at this point in time to be able to hear what you & I really want >>

What we really want, & need, is to login EASY-LIKE to the Datafeedr Factory, right from Square One when we signup & pay our money. Then we want a dialog box to popup which gives us the option to input a delimited text file (geez, people, isn't that why we paid to access DFR in the first place, after fiddling with TXT/CSV/XML data files?) of ALL our Affiliate Networks & LOGINS, our currently approved merchants having datafeeds, our current list of stores to build/develop, their relevant URLs, product types, categories etc.

I think copying settings from one store to another store is okay as far as it goes, but why do I have to type all this data in, in the first place?

Give me a nailgun, not a hammer. Automate the damn thing, please, Stefan & Eric. A big-time Aussie marketer told me, "It starts at the start. Get that right & everything flows from there."
