No, you don't have to store the images locally.

I see the plugin you are using WP-OGP is conflicting with Datafeedr's facebook implementation. You need to disable WP-OGP on your "Store" page, if possible.

The plugin looks quite old and is only compatible up to WP 3.1-RC3 so I don't know if it's going to work as expected.
