Indexing Store Home & Categories

We all know the problems Google has with duplicate content - and there's nothing more at risk of displaying duplicate content, than the product detail pages.

So for now here is my plan:
- Not have google index the product detail pages
- But DO have google index the store home and category pages.

I have Yoast SEO installed, and currently have it no indexing the store page.

How do I go about letting google know to index the store page and category pages?

Hi,

Google doesn't hate affiliate sites. Duplicate content can be offset by other unique, valuable content on your site: https://support.google.com/webmaster...er/76465?hl=en

To make your product details page unindexable, you need to add the following code here The Factory > Your Store > VIEWS > PRODUCT DETAILS > Default > View menu > View <head> Elements:

So if I add this code to the product detail page, then I can set the Stores page to index and follow?

Hi,

Yes, that's correct. Just check your source code after you make the change to make sure you are getting what you expect.
