Automatic Updates Not Working - Subdomains
I have shops setup on subdomains in a Wordpress Network then mapped out to real domains with a plugin. Works fine.
In the factory settings I have to put subdomain.domain.com to be able to MANUALLY update my shops with products and settings. If I put in domain.com it does not work. However the automatic updates do not work because of a domain mismatch error. Code:
ERROR: factory_fatal (domain_mismatch) error:816,call.updater.read_update:714,update_from_path:3463,read_local_update:3439,do_remote_update:3417 I will PM you the whole error message. |
Hmmm... I'm not sure if that type of mapping is supported... Did it ever work in the past?
|
I do not know. I was working so much on the shop that I did many manual updates. I noticed the error since I get the email notifications about the failed updates. I suppose auto updates did not work in the past as well...

Are you using a plugin to handle to domain mapping?
|
Yes, someone on this forum recommended this plugin:
WordPress MU Domain Mapping |
Hi
We've never tested Datafeedr with that plugin so I'm not sure if it will work or not. We'll take a look and see if it's possible. Eric |
Thanks! I am no programmer, but I think/hope that if the manual update is possible, the automatic will be too.
When I do a manual update, the WP admin area is under subdomain.domain.com so this is the reason why this setting in the factory "subdomain.domain.com" works with the manual update. |
Manual updates and automatic updates are handled entirely differently so it's no surprise that one works and the other doesn't.
|
We've looked into this and currently the Datafeedr plugin is not compatible with MU domain mapping.
|
Thanks for the info!
|
We've added support for the MU Domain Mapping plugin in version 3.8 http://www.datafeedr.com/forums/show...2740#post32740
