Connection Key for local development
Hi - just purchased today.

Question: I purchased the 1 site plan. Can I use the Connection Key for my live domain and a local development version running via Mamp/WP on my Mac?

I haven't entered the Connection Key yet. Waiting for an answer first.

Yes, you can use the same key on a local version and on your main website but the URL on your local version must start with I've got MAMP on my Mac running like this and it works fine.

Thank you!

I entered the key and updated the store on my MAMP WP site. No errors in debug mode, but the link to "Store" doesn't show up in posts or pages nav. The only way to show products is to use the Drip function. But that's not pulling images.

Any ideas?

If a store page wasn't created, try manually creating it here: WordPress Admin Area > Pages > Add new page. Enter "Store" for the title of the Page.

I created the store page and it's still empty.

Is there any red text on this page: WordPress Admin Area > Tools > Datafeedr ?

Also on the same page, in the horizontal menu at the top, how many categories and products are listed?

ajstocco January 22nd, 2012 12:40 PM

No red text in any of the plugin settings/pages.

Categories: 13 Products: 103

Changed all the URLs & settings from "Store" to "Shop" and still not working.

Drip is the only way to get products into the site, but it's not all working. No images, product descriptions, buy buttons etc. It only shows the title and code like this: [DFR:drip?p=201701389795373]

I appreciate you help!

The drip issue is unrelated I believe. That's just a matter of your theme not using the the_content() function on the archive pages... Or it's a by-product of the larger issue.

Unfortunately it's impossible for me to see your site...

Does your local MAMP install meet our requirements: ?

ajstocco January 23rd, 2012 12:15 AM

Yes, the MAMP install meets all of the requirements.

What do you recommend for testing on the live server?

Eric January 23rd, 2012 09:32 AM

I'm not sure why it's not working on your local server... That's very strange. You shouldn't have any problems on your live server as long as it meets the requirements.
