Why do more products I have not selected automatically enter into categories?

When I created my store categories, why do more products I have not selected automatically
enter into categories. I chose to add products by saving the searches is that why it does that?

Hi,

When you save a search, all of the products that match your search are added to your categories. This includes products from page 2, 3, 4, 5, etc... of your search results.

If you want you can set a limit to the number of products that are added to a category using the "Limit" filter.
